Rooms are very well sound-proofed; beds and pillows, as good as 5 star equivalents.
Slept extremely well, which is the 'main thing' n'est-ce pas. Major quibble is ill-fitting curtains that could not be manoeuvred to completely cut out the light. Minor one is that rooms are painted in very bland colours; warmer, darker tones might help. Decor in corridors is dismal and photos of old Saigon might help.
The restaurant is up to par, with a Swiss chef; breakfast has 'real' muesli. Club- sandwich went down well, as did Viet dishes. No complaints there.
Pool is adequate but there is a noisy building-site opposite and the pool surroundings were surpsingly covered in dust, very un-Swisslike
Value for money I would say and very close to airport for quick getaway. Taxi to town is about 2 Euros, so will not break the bank....
With a little imagination, this hotel could be upgraded and turned into a more boutique-like venue.
